Fauzia Viqar is a social activist and thought leader on women's rights and empowerment. She has led policy and legislative reform to promote women's empowerment and to eliminate discrimination and violence against women in Pakistan. Fauzia is CEO at Rah-Center for Management and Development.  The company has been providing technical assistance and consultancy services in Canada and Pakistan since 2005, mainly in the areas of social and economic development, women’s empowerment, anti racism and discrimination based on gender and race.

In her recent position as Chairperson of the Punjab Commission on the Status of Women, Fauzia succeeded in placing gender equality and female empowerment at the core of government processes. She has also guided policies and actions in senior advisory roles in large governance programs, UN Women, Punjab Education Foundation, Engro Qadirpur Energy Ltd, Media Regulatory bodies and in many other government and non Government positions. She actively promoted human rights and an end to racial discrimination in Canada where she worked for many years. Fauzia has succeeded in developing a culture of gender disaggregated data collection for evidence informed policy making in Pakistan through the first Gender Management Information System and specialized representative surveys to understand women's status. She successfully pioneered a Women's Employment Facilitation Center and Women's Economic Incubator in the Government of Punjab.
