Role Description:

Despite the global trends in promoting DE&I and fair hiring policies, the problem of discrimination and unfair hiring is still present and manifests itself through conscious and unconscious biases, unstructured decision making as well as hidden preferences to people from selected demographic groups.

We open the call for a Global Blind Hiring Ambassador who shares our vision of equal hiring which takes decision making to a new level of fairness. The role of Global Blind Hiring Ambassador will be to advocate for a new level of hiring policies and methodologies which include blind hiring in their social media, on our platform, and encourage organizations around the world to adopt these methods in their corporate cultures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Blind Hiring Advocacy

    • Promote the adoption of fully blind hiring practices across the organizations.

    • Content creation for various social media (Linkedin text posts and short videos for Instagram, TikTok and Youtube shorts)) in regards to the Blind Hiring methodology and related processes to increase the visibility of the project, in collaboration with the GIOF Team. Video production will be done by the GIOF team.

  2. Events Participation

    • Attend and speak at our events to keep up with the project development

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in organizing recruiting and hiring processes

  • Familiarity with blind hiring methodologies and best practices

  • In-depth knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and their application in the hiring process

  • Established Social media presence and community outreach experience

  • Experience working with international teams

Note: Global Blind Hiring Ambassador is a pro-bono position. The main advantage of the role is the increased visibility of your profile among our community of 24K followers and 13K email subscribers.

Timeline:

  • Blind resume submission deadline: October 5th, 2023

  • Pre-recorded video Interviews on the platform: September 25th - October 5th, 2023

  • Final live Interviews - as part of the Blind Hiring Summit: October 12th, 1:15pm EDT

  • Announcement of the winner: October 14th, 2023

Global Blind Hiring Ambassador will be selected during the upcoming Blind Hiring Summit by the Hiring Committee (composed of GIOF Team and Summit’s attendees) on October 12, 2023.
