Reversing Microaggressions with Personal Curiosity

May 24, 2022 7:00 PM CET BUY TICKETS Price: 300 USD

THE WORKSHOP REGISTRATION IS CLOSED

Microaggressions can be tricky: they're small, seemingly innocent statements that can have a big impact. Innocent, unintentional microaggressions can make employees feel less welcome, more isolated, and more likely to leave a company. In the workplace, microaggressions can be hard to identify and difficult to address.

In this presentation, we'll discuss common workplace microaggressions and how they affect employees' well - being. Then we'll talk about how leaders can frame discussions with employees to address and stop these behaviors so that everyone in your workplace can feel safe and respected.

With engaging group activities and a close look at real-world examples of microaggressions, you'll leave with new ideas about how you can use curiosity to intervene in harmful situations.

In this workshop, you'll learn how you can use curiosity as a tool for preventing microaggressions and creating a safe space for all people in your workplace.

This interactive workshop will show you how to create spaces where microaggressions aren't just publicized — they're actually prevented.

This workshop will include:

  • An intro activity to help determine who in your workplace might be experiencing microaggressions
  • A role-playing activity to teach you how to address microaggressions as they happen

The workshop duration is 90 minutes.
