There is no such thing as the LGBTQIA+ community - it is simply a collective term for many communities with lives, experiences and intersectionalities that aren't labelled as 'straight'.

This keynote explores both the nuances and the outright disagreements about the language of the LGBTQIA+ crowds. From a younger generation who have embraced the word 'queer', to older who find it abhorrent. From an older White generation who might find the term 'elders' irksome, to those from Asian and Black families and groups who might find it a term of endearing respect.

The speaker will share his experience of running a consultancy with a leadership team that us 50% LGBTQIA+ and a network with representation of all identities and intersectionalities, helping the audience understand how to navigate modern society and make necessary structural business change in support of all the LGBTQIA+ communities.
