Aurélie Uricher
Global Diversity and Inclusion Manager at L’OCCITANE Group
Aurélie Uricher started in the CSR department at L’OCCITANE dealing with Diversity and Inclusion by managing the Disability Mission in France on the industrial sites in Manosque and Lagorce 10 years ago. Dealing with equity came later when she managed the engagement survey Great Place To Work (GPTW). In 2016, she joined the international headquarter as a Human Resources Business Partner in Geneva, Switzerland. Two years later, in 2018 she started managing both the development of the high potential and the development of Diversity and Inclusion programmes with a focus on gender equality and the inclusion of LGBTQ+ people since the Group launched a global inclusive parental leave policy. This policy offers a minimum of 20 weeks’ fully paid leave for primary caregivers and a minimum of 12 weeks’ fully paid leave for secondary caregivers. It will apply to employees across the Group whether the child is welcomed by birth or through adoption or surrogacy. For 1 year now, she is responsible for driving the diversity and inclusion agenda of L’OCCITANE Group.
Her path to DEI combines both CSR and HR. This experience in both of those business fields affects her vision for DEI at L’OCCITANE today, a natural way to deal with this topic since it is a company committed to social impact right from the start.
She truly believes that a successful DE&I policy starts with a deep culture change. That’s why, Feedback Culture, Listening to Staff Opinion, Flexible Working and Agile ways of working are key to build the next steps of the roadmap.
