Global Diversity and Inclusion Lead - Customer Success at SAP
Michelle is the global head of D&I for SAP's Customer Success organisation where she is responsible for driving SAP’s diversity agenda across the sales line of business.
Her focus is to model diversity as a business imperative by building and growing diverse talent so that we can leverage different perspectives and skills in order to understand our customers better and innovate more creatively. Equally important is to promote an inclusive environment that encourages authenticity and improves employee engagement. The goal is to increase business performance and use diversity to improve competitive advantage.
Michelle has been with SAP for more than 28 years and started her career in South Africa where she held various consulting and leadership roles within the Field Services organization. During her SAP tenure, she also lived and worked in China, she was responsible for business development for the services business. Prior to her current role Michelle has been driving strategic operations programs with the regional business operations team.
Michelle has been instrumental in driving initiatives to support womens growth and retention at SAP; building a more inclusive culture through allyship and enablement, addressing the needs of underrepresented groups and ensuring business ownership of D&I goals. Michelle is also a founding member of SAP Singapore Pride Chapter and has been supporting the agenda for SAP’s LGBTQ community globally.
Michelle has published D&I articles in Forbes; Sales Transformation Journal and HRDMag and has spoken at Global and Regional D&I conferences. Her work in D&I has led to awards both internally and externally to SAP.
Michelle is a Certified Diversity Professional (NDCCDP) of the North America National Diversity Council and holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree in Psychology from the University of Cape Town. She completed her MBA with Reading University in the UK with specialization in Strategic Management and Global Business Strategy.
