Raafi is Consulting Manager, Data & Product Lead at Included and co-author with Stephen Frost of Building an Inclusive Organization (2019). He is also a contributing author to The Key to Inclusion (2022).

His recent client work has encompassed engaging the leadership of several FTSE100 and Fortune500 companies. He has run successful anti-racism programmes and training that goes beyond the “what” and “why” and provides tools for how to mitigate these biases in the workplace.

His key areas of expertise lie in the statistics and measurement of D&I and behavioural economics for inclusion in Organizations. The award-winning Inclusion Diagnostic, a statistically validated, quantitative behavioural metric for inclusion in Organizations, has been used in Organizations across more than 27 countries in 19 languages, and has helped thousands of underrepresented employees have their voices heard.

Raafi has a Bachelor’s degree and a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University, and served as a Research Fellow at the Center for Public Leadership at the Harvard Kennedy School. His articles and work on D&I have been featured in newspapers, magazines, podcasts, and radio and television programs across North America, Europe, and Africa.

Quantitatively measuring inclusion to develop targeted solutions

Speaker will present a case study where a statistically validated, quantitative inclusion metric was successfully used in a large government agency to identify the specific behaviours that were affecting inclusion and exclusion, the groups that were in need of the most support, and the ways this was affecting key organisational outcomes.
