Our computers have faster and more reliable connections than ever before. But how are the connections between us, human beings? Unfortunately, when we go digital, we lose quite a slice of non-verbal communication that helps us empathize and understand each other.

This combined with the fact that the language we use literally builds the world around us, there is a challenge to tackle. But also tremendous possibilities to grow and evolve.

Their own experience of being misgendered multiple times in the virtual environment inspired Ahola to create and share an ABC to Inclusive and Gender-neutral Communication. Combined with what they have learned from Amy Edmondson's psychological safety, they realized inclusive communication combined with psychological safety is a key to multiple challenges.
