Elyse Ruest-Archambault is a gender, inclusion and diversity specialist with more than 15 years of experience in international development, human resources, peacekeeping, and capacity building. She has 10 years of experience working on gender mainstreaming, including with Action Contre la Faim in Bangladesh and the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Timor-Leste. She is currently the Diversity and Inclusion Specialist at UNOPS.

Achieving parity in traditionally male-dominated areas in the international NGO sector

From Afghanistan to Somalia and Yemen, UNOPS works on the frontlines in some of the world's most challenging and traditionally male-dominated contexts, in fields such as engineering, infrastructure, and peacekeeping. Elyse will present how, despite these challenges, and amid a global pandemic, UNOPS achieved gender parity in its 5000 workforce.
